Lyman M. Smith Jr.
President

Mr. Smith has nearly four decades of experience in the communications Industry. Born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio, he attended the University of Cincinnati before joining a national, publicly traded (NASDAQ) New York-based telephone interconnect company, Tel Plus Communications, as a major account sales representative. At the age of thirty-one he was appointed president of their midwest operating company covering six states. When Tel Plus was acquired by Siemens Communications, Mr. Smith was appointed vice president of sales, eastern United States. After deciding to leave the private branch exchange Industry, Mr. Smith returned to Cincinnati and focused his efforts on the low voltage structured cabling industry, mentoring under the leaders of two of the industries leading structured cabling contractors.

In 1998, Mr. Smith co-founded Kastle Technologies, a division of Kastle Electric. The independent technologies division was built from the ground up to design, install, certify and warranty high speed structured cabling systems to support commercial building telecommunications standards.

Under Mr. Smith’s direction, Kastle Technologies is an industry leader in the design and installation of multiple large and highly complex projects in the region. Mr. Smith is excited about the new markets and the expanded opportunities that will be afforded Kastle Technologies, with the 2016 acquisition by Quebe Holding Company.
